Step Down Transformer

A transformer used in power supplies to step down or inferior the main line voltage. The ratio among the number of turns of the primary coil to the secondary coil determines the step down voltage. Transformer that enhance voltage from most important to secondary (additional secondary winding turns than primary winding turns) is called a step-up transformer. Conversely, a transformer designed to do just the conflicting is called a step down transformer.
